Worship
Collective worship is the unique heartbeat of a Church school and is offered as part of a wider opportunity for pupils and adults to encounter faith by engaging in conversations about God, both as individuals and together.
Our Collective Worship policy strengthens and supports the Christian identity of our school, reaffirms our values at St Anne’s and celebrates the central role that each child has to play in their community. The daily Christian act of worship is central to our ethos and is supported by all staff and Governors. It makes an important contribution to the overall spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the whole school community. Collective worship involves members of our school meeting together in part or whole and participating in a joint assembly. It is distinct from the rest of the school day and a time for reflection.

Class Reflection Areas
______________
Each classroom in our school has a dedicated reflection area, providing a calm and meaningful space for children and staff to pause, reflect, and engage in collective worship. These areas support our Christian values and encourage thoughtful prayer and mindfulness throughout the school day. Designed and created by the children themselves, the spaces are interactive and include hands-on prayer activities that inspire personal reflection and deepen spiritual understanding. Through these reflection areas, pupils have the opportunity to explore their faith, express gratitude, and consider how they can live out our values within the school and wider community.

Harvest 2025
KS1 led a wonderful Harvest servive for the pupils and staff. We also welcomed our whole community to celebrate and attend worship at St Anne's Church on Sunday. It was lovely to see so many families attend and engage with Reverend Allison's important messages on how we can make a difference to our neighbours all around the world.
Easter 2025
Well done to our wonderful Year 3 and Year 4 classes for putting on a fantastic Easter production for our staff, pupils and families. All were invited to share our Easter worship as LKS2 re--told the Easter story and reflected on the true meaning of Easter
Harvest 2024
Well done to our wonderful KS1 department for leading the school in worship. We reflected on our Christian value of thankfulness as we learnt more about Harvest around the world.
Values Based Worship
___________
As a whole school, we celebrate and display our shared reflections each half term through our collective worship display. This term, we have been exploring the value of generosity, and our display showcases the thoughtful reflections and personal responses from every pupil. Individual prayers, extracts from reflection journals, and creative work produced during worship are all proudly shared, highlighting how children have understood and lived out this value. We also capture pupils’ favourite worship music and their reflections on how worship has made them feel. This display not only celebrates our spiritual journey but also shows the meaningful impact worship has on our school community.
Home School Values
We believe that reflection and living out our Christian values extend beyond the classroom, which is why we actively involve our families in each half-term value focus. Families are encouraged to talk together at home about the value being explored and take part in optional activities designed to deepen understanding and inspire positive action. These activities often lead to projects, acts of kindness, or creative responses that demonstrate how the value is being lived out in daily life. Families are invited to share their reflections and projects with us, and we celebrate these actions together as a school community. Here are some of the values we have explored further so far this year:
